The story
The Mushroom Kingdom has been a peaceful place thanks to the brave deeds of Mario and Luigi. The Mushroom Kingdom forms an entrance to the Mushroom World where all is not well. Bowser has sent his son Bowser Jr. to make mischief as he pleases in the normally peaceful Mushroom World. Commanded by Bowser Jr. the Koopa Troop is let loose in each country around the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario and Luigi must restore peace and drive back the invaders. “Goodbye and good luck!,” said the Princess, Toad and Luigi as Mario set off on his journey deep into the Mushroom World alone, because Luigi didn’t join his brother after all. He chose to stay at the castle and chill with the Princess.
World 1
Mushroom Fields
This is where Mario starts his journey. Most of Mushroom Fields is composed of a vast, grass-grown plain with toadstools of varying heights. The level is largely populated by Koopas and Goombas.
World 2
Koopahari Desert
Be careful! The Koopahari Desert has conquered its share of weary travellers. Look out for sandstorms and be ready for the tricks ahead in the keep.
World 3
The Soaking Sea
This world is all wet! Only a great swimmer will be able to get through. Be careful! Wendy Koopa has been spotted here with her shallow submarine.
World 4
Magikoopa Mountain
A mountainous world with tall, orange colored mountains. You need good shoes to be able to climb to the top.
World 5
The Sky
The sky has many difficult sections. Raccoon Mario's flying ability is bound to help him here. Many chuted Goomba baddies can be found here.
World 6
Frozen Valley
Everything in this world is covered in ice. It is a frozen wasteland with slippery floors and frozen lakes. Be cautious as you proceed.
World 7
Pipe Maze
As the name implies, Pipe Maze is covered by a confusing network of pipes. With so many pipes around, there’s bound to be lots of plant life to try to slow down Mario.
World 8
Bowser's Dark World
This is where Bowser resides. Rivers of lava dot the landscape, as well as charred earth and burning ruins. Hordes of dangerous enemies await Mario!
